MSSM 2016 Journey - Part 2

I want to share the photos of the MSSM WPKL chess players and teams here. These photos were taken today at UMK or Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, one day before the first round begin.

MSSM 2016 Journey - Part 1

On Thursday (11/8/2016) morning, me and four other MSSM WPKL team mates were on a bus leaving to Kota Bharu, Kelantan for the MSSM Chess Championship.

I will be competing in the L15 category. Alhamdulillah, this year edition will be the fourth for me taking part in the championship. Hopefully, I will have the best performance and win medal especially the Gold.

I was in Taiping, Perak for my first MSSM in 2013. Then I was in Kuching, Sarawak in 2014 representing Selangor. Last year, I was in Penang first time representing WP Kuala Lumpur.

KUSESS Chess Open 2016 - The Team Event

I took part in the KUSESS Chess Open 2016 held on 21st and 22nd of May 2016 both the Individual and the Team events. In the Team event, I was the fourth board player. My other three team mates are Aziz Farhan, Rosamund Koo and Puteri Munajjah Az-Zahra Azhar. 

With 11 match points and 23 game points from 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat, my SMK SBU 1 team won theFifth place.

KUSESS Chess Open 2016 - The Individual Event

I was among 540 participants in the Individual Under 18 category of the the 4th KUSESS Chess Open on 21st May 2016.   

I scored 7/8 points losing one game in the fifth round.

Alhamdulillah, I won the 9th place.
